Having first appeared in the role of U.S. attorney Liz Lawrence in 2009, on CBS's legal television drama The Good Wife in 2018 McDonald took on her character (now called Liz Reddick) as a Season regular on The Good Fight on Paramount+ with 3 Critics Choice Award nominations for her performance. In the present, she's acting as a guest in Julian Fellowes' historical drama The Gilded Age, which can be seen on HBO.
