Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, has been known for her roles in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She has an BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and TV. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in several shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known roles were in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The series both received critical acclaim, but she also received a number of accolades. Her professional acting debut as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted through her roles as a character in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her work in television she's received praise for her performance as a regular character on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
